We aim for every lesson to be excellent to ensure our pupils achieve the best possible outcomes. To enable us to achieve this, we invest in our teachers and have developed the Outstanding Teacher Programme across the ERW region, in conjunction with OLEVI and University of Wales Trinity St David.
The programme inspires and motivates staff to try out new approaches and become reflective practitioners, giving them the opportunity to discuss and share good practice with colleagues within Cwmtawe and from other schools.
The programme builds on the key areas of the Teaching and Learning model in every learning experience. It covers a range of topic areas, looking at the theories for learning and pedagogical approaches whilst sharing a range of techniques and tips for the classroom including:

Anelwn at sicrhau bod pob gwers yn ardderchog er mwyn sicrhau bod ein disgyblion yn ennill y canlyniadau gorau. Mae’r rhaglen yn ysbrydoli staff i arbrofi gyda thechnegau newydd a bod yn athrawon myfyriol, gan roi cyfle iddynt drafod a rhannu ymarfer da gyda chydweithwyr o fewn Cwmtawe ac o ysgolion eraill.
Mae’r rhaglen yn adeiladu ar feysydd allweddol o Addysgu a Dysgu ym mhob profiad dysgu. Mae’n ymdrin a rhychwant o benawdau gan edrych ar y theori o ddysgu a dulliau pedagogiol tra’n rhannu amrywiaeth o dechnegau yn y dosbarth, gan gynnwys:
